For as long as I can remember, whenever the rain stopped and the sun began to shine, my mother, my sister and I would head outside to hunt for the rainbow. My sister sent me a text of her view which prompted Mike and I to take Mikaela on her first rainbow hunt. We went out back first and upon stepping out the back door we were met with a full arc rich with color, echoed by a fainter arc above. It was beautiful. We then went out front and crossed the street to take a picture of it over our home. Mike would have needed to walk a block away to get the full arc in view but here is one section.

I think the rainbow is one of God's most amazing creations. I hope I always stop to search for the rainbow and teach Mikaela to do the same. No matter what happens in life (and this has been a rough week), there will always be this colorful reminder. Thank you, Jesus, for Your promises and the beautifully subtle ways in which to show us that You remember Your promises, even when we forget.
