Reading

Tonight for bedtime, Mikaela decided to read us a story.  She took "Are You My Mother?" and read the story, turning pages as she went.  We recognized a few words like 'bird' and 'oh' (when on the "Snort" page).  Next time we'll have to bring a camera to bedtime.

Park Fun

Now that the weather is cooling off, we've been able to enjoy the outdoors a little more.  Here are some recent photos of some fun in the park.

Cocoa had to "park it", which means lay down and stay.  I don't think the park was as fun for her.

Labor Day Fun

On Sunday of Labor Day Weekend, we went to Gran & Papa Bill's to visit & swim.  The highlight of the trip was being able to introduce Mikaela to her Uncle Brad and Aunt Ro-Ro (Robin).  They live out of state so it has been difficult to visit with them often.  We had a great time and can't wait to get together again soon!

With her Aunt Ro-Ro & Uncle Brad
Uncle Brad & Aunt Robin brought Mikaela some presents.  Her favorite was the Blue Clue's coloring book, but all were great gifts and I see hours of playtime fun in our future.  Thanks Uncle Brad & Aunt Robin!

We took two trips to the pool, before and after lunch.  The weather was considerably cooler than the 100+ temps we've been used to the past 2 months.  It was actually kind of cold at times in the pool, especially with the wind, but it didn't stop us from having a great time.

Mikaela had a long, but fun day.  We had a blast spending time with family and enjoying the cooler weather.  Can't wait until next time!
