Love Those Aggies

14 Months Old
Here are some things Mikaela is doing at 14 months old so that I remember when it's time to scrapbook this:
Mikaela continues to use sign as her primary mode of communication (well, that and whining).
Her Spanish words are still mas and hola.
English - mama, dada, up.
Sign - milk, more, please, all done, clean, bath (when prompted), eat, and most recently, daddy and water
She babbles a lot. You can tell that she is really trying to tell you something now as opposed to her just playing with sounds. She will come to you and say something and wait for your response. Once you give it, she will either continue the conversation or walk away.
She loves taking things out of boxes, moving them to a new location to pile, and then taking them back. She loves to open and close doors. After closing doors, everyone should clap.
She loves to color. We introduced it briefly at a restaurant and she's done it at day care a few times. We still have to watch so that she doesn't eat the crayons, but she does pretty well.
She has 8 teeth but I think more are coming soon. She was really cranky most of last week, drooling constantly, and rubbing her gums with her fingers. I caught a glimpse of white gums, but nothing new poking through.
She is learning to whistle. She holds her mouth in such a way as though she will whistle. Once or twice she got a slight one when sucking in air, but didn't realize what she did. She also does fish face.
She has learned to make big waves and splashes during bath time. Mom and Dad will have to start wearing ponchos to bath time.
She loves to dance. Whenever she hears music, she has some type of movement. Sometimes it's just head movement. Sometimes she moves her shoulders up and down. Today she was bouncing. Whenever Dora the Explorer is on and they are singing the "We Did It" song, she gets her right arm involved. It's like the Irish Jig song from "Whose Line is it Anyway?" We try to capture it on film, but no luck yet.
She will be in size 4 diapers just as soon as we finish the box of size 3s we have now. She measured 30'' at Graem-ma's on Christmas Day and 20.6 lbs at Graempa's the Tuesday before Christmas. She wears 12-18 month clothing.

She is learning to pet Cocoa Bean. Sometimes Cocoa Bean is just a big thing in her way, but other times Mikaela really pays attention to her, petting her, laughing at her, etc. I think they will be great friends. Cocoa Bean certainly enjoys getting the food she drops.
She still likes to put things other than bows and hats on her head. Miss Devan came to play with her last week and taught her to sport the Do-Rag.

Christmas Number Two
The day after Christmas, Gran & Papa Bill dropped by to deliver gifts to Mikaela. She got a V-Tech jewelry box and some bracelets. She actually did some of the unwrapping herself.
