Cutest Pumpkin

Today was our church's Fall Carnival, called "Festibration." Mikaela went as a pumpkin. She won "Cutest Baby" in the costume contest for her age group. Enjoy the pictures.

Dallas Arboretum

This past Saturday we went to the Dallas Arboretum to take pictures in the pumpkins. It was busy, but Mikaela still had a lot of fun. Warning: There are a lot of pictures on this post. It was hard to narrow them down.

Yell Practice

As is tradition at A&M, Aggies come together for Yell Practice at midnight, the night (or I guess the morning of, technically) a game. They were playing Arkansas Razorbacks today (to whom, sadly, they lost) at Cowboys Stadium, so Yell Practice was held there Friday night.

We went with my sister and two Aggie friends from church, Amy & Kristian. Since my sister refuses to be in pictures, she took it.
The ATM logo circling around the stadium:
the endzone:
Some sort of Aggie mobile outside the stadium: I'm not sure what it's called. (Sorry, Ags!).

and the hood ornament:
We had a great time, even though we were all extremely exhausted because none of us ever stay up that late anymore!

Moments with Mikaela

Here are some random moments in Mikaela's life this past week.

Chowing down on black beans. She loved them.
her black bean beard:
Helping Daddy unload the dishwasher. Don't worry - we had already removed the silverware bucket.

Putting a cloth napkin on her head: This is actually a pretty funny story. I was checking email and she came over to me with a napkin on her head and a big smile on her face as if saying, "Look what silly thing I did, Mommy!" It was precious!
Dinner time fun:

"Gig 'em, Aggies!"

Out for a walk with her favorite pal, Antonio:

Going to the Park

Because the weather has been so nice, we've tried to get outdoors as much as possible. Recently, we went walking to take Mikaela to the park for the first time.
She enjoyed walking around in the grass and looking at her surroundings. It was a lot of open area to explore.
We tried showing her different parts of the playground.
She didn't seem to mind the swings, but never really gave any expression at all.

Same with the slide...
The only thing she really wanted to do was walk around. But I guess, if I'd only been walking a month, I'd want to do that too...

There was a woman who was walking her grandson. The 8 month old little boy caught her attention so she had to say hello.
After awhile, it was time to head home. The first part of the walk back Mikaela preferred to walk her stroller rather than ride in it.
