It's a Girl!

Hey everybody. Above is a picture of my (almost) 20 week belly. I wore this outfit specifically because it's one of the few where I actually look pregnant (or so people tell me). Even though I have noticed a belly for weeks.
Here is our little girl's profile. It's a tad fuzzy, but still a pretty good shot. She did well to let us see her gender, but then got frustrated with the sonographer (sp?) when she was moving the baby around to get all the measurements. I guess we were interrupting her nap time. Below are pictures of her feet (aren't they cute?) and the bottom two pictures are the gender shots. Enjoy!

Job Interview

Please pray for Mike. He has a job interview for a teaching position. It is Friday at 10:30. It is a huge encouragement to have this opportunity as he strives to move his career path toward education. We'll keep you posted.

Who Dun It?

For our anniversary dinner, we decided to go to the Gaylord Texan, since neither of us had ever been. We settled on the Riverwalk Cafe. If you've never eaten there, you need to. The food was delicious.
When Mike called to get reservations, he discovered that Friday night was a special murder mystery dinner so he decided to do that. Donna didn't know about it until we arrived. It was a fun little show done in three acts. The first act set up the characters and the murder. The second act consisted of more clues and accusatory statements. The third act was revealing the murderer. Between the 2nd and 3rd acts, we were allowed to interrogate the suspects to help us figure out who dun it. Below are some pictures from the evening.

The cast
Our table - Team "Big Daddy." We picked the name because the show girl, Esperanza, picked on the guy at our table, calling him "Big Daddy" all the time - as though he were a regular client of hers.

As a table, we ended up guessing wrong, but we weren't the only ones. The Reverend's wife was the killer (she wasn't the most pious of people, though neither was the Reverend). In the cast picture she is the woman on the left. We had a great time.

5 Years of Wedded Bliss

Today, May 28th, 2009 is Mike and Donna's 5th wedding anniversary. This is a special one for us because we finally get to open our time capsule. We are excited about this and have been anxiously awaiting (Donna especially) the chance to open all the well wishes/predictions/advice we received from friends and family 5 years ago.

And Baby Makes 3

As most of you already know we are expecting our first child in October. Due Date is 10/30. Here are some pictures of my growing belly, though from the pictures doesn't seem to be all that big as well as our sonogram from 9 weeks. We'll have another sonogram picture from our June 11th appointment and probably a baby bump picture as well.

Have you missed us?

Sorry for the lag in blogging. There just hasn't been much to say. We should have some new photos to post of various events soon. But there are 3 weeks left of the school year and Mike is always busy so check back. Hopefully soon there'll be something new worth reading. Or at least something new...

The Cast is Gone

The cast is gone. I still have to wear a brace but I can remove that to shower. Things seem to be healing fine.

And by the way.... I feel off my bike. Not a really exciting maneuver. I took a turn with only one had on the handlebars. Not a smart move. I don't recommend it.
