Catching Up... Again

Howdy, Everyone. It's been basically a month since our last significant post. Sorry about that. Things are busy at the Moreland house. Mike works pretty much every day which is a huge blessing. He's been called in for several jobs at one middle school in Plano. They really like him. The potential is there for a full time job. We are praying that it comes soon. In the meantime, we have faith that God will provide all of our needs and we are learning to live without a lot. Though this time is trying and not at all secure, it has helped us, me especially, turn to the One who provides all necessities and all security. As we end this week of Thanksgiving, for that I am truly grateful.

Mikaela is always on the move, learning and discovering new things. She almost has a run, especially when she is holding something (a phone or remote) she knows will be taken from her soon.

Her language is really coming along. She still doesn't say much (in the way of intelligible speech), but she babbles constantly and understands a great deal, in Spanish, English, and sign. I'm so thankful for this opportunity she has to learn all the languages she's learning.

She has 8 teeth now. 4 popped in within a day.

We're dealing with a little separation anxiety and that coupled with no more pacifiers has made bedtime and naptime difficult, but I'm sure with a little retraining and going back to our regular routine, we'll resume better sleep.

And now it's time for pictures! I backtracked a bit. Notice in almost every picture she is wearing beaded necklaces. Ever since her birthday party, she has put them on whenever she finds them.

Here is a fall photo taken at Walgreens back in October.

Watching tv on the couch with Mommy one morning:
She is starting to "dance." Mostly it is just moving her head around, but whenever she hears music, she tries to do some type of movement.

At dinner one night she got macaroni and cheese in her hair.

Playing with bubbles:

Her first Santa picture: When we arrived, she had fallen asleep so Santa was going to do a sleeping picture with her, but when passing her off, Mikaela woke up. We never could get a smile from her.
At the play place at the mall:

I went to Farmers Branch to do one of my runs while the Graemparents watched Mikaela. Graemma dug out my old stroller and took Mikaela for a walk.
She liked to stand in her stroller.
and peer over the side...

Playing piano with her cousins on Thanksgiving:
Visiting Great-Grandma "MeMe"
Working on her computer: She's recently started laying down on her stomach to play with toys, etc.

That's all for now! See you in a month... ha ha!
